About Kerrie...
Hello! My name is Kerrie Amatelli, and I am a happily married mother of three children (and now grandmother to one) living in Exeter, RI.
The first half of my life was spent on motherhood and working within the Banking and Medical Administration fields of service, including: Bank Boston, United Health Care, Professional Rehabilitation Network, Memorial Hospital and most recently, Bank RI. In addition, I've also been a bartender and a waitress (who hasn't ?)... and even a school bus driver, when my daughter (my youngest) was a toddler!
Currently, I am a basic Reflexologist and Reiki III Practitioner who combines Reiki with Reflexology, Gentle Touch and Channeled Healing Energy. I've been a student of the TAROT for a little over a year now... and I plan to begin attending Bancroft School of Massage this fall (2012) to become a Licensed Massage Therapist.
Over the years I've endured many life lessons and continue to experience more and more lessons each day. It's like I feel this "Presence" with me each day guiding and teaching me. Although sometimes (okay, okay... a lot of times) I don't listen. Yet through the moments of "not listening", I've learned some pretty valuable lessons in life and I've come to learn that I NEED to listen... as it's only in my best interest to do so anyway! So, at this point in my life... and from here on out... I'll be "listening" quite intently to that soft inner guidance.... as we all should.
The most important lesson I've learned to date that I can share with others... is that you cannot truly love, be kind or create peace until you experience all those things WITHIN yourself first. You must have a good level of self love to truly be loving and honestly kind toward others. Being kind is a wonderful thing, but you need to remember to be kind to YOURSELF first... unless you want to be repeatedly drained of your own energy by giving everything you've got to everyone else (but you) all the time... in the name of "kindness". Being kind to yourself FIRST makes you more able to be kind and available help others properly... for how can you truly help others if you're always drained energetically (or a mess) in the first place. You can only have an affect of PEACE upon the world when you FIRST find a path to your own "inner peace", which in turn will ripple out into your outer world and ultimately create more peace within your own life and for those around you and closest to you.
So, if you want to change the world... CHANGE YOURSELF. Learn how to love and be kind to YOURSELF... by taking the best care of your body, mind and soul that you possibly can. Search for and DO the activities that make you feel truly ALIVE... explore your world! Seek out and find all the things that make your heart soar with love, laughter and excitement. Learn how to be more peaceful... by finding the things or going to the places that make you FEEL more calm and peaceful.
It really is so simple, BE THE CHANGE YOU WISH TO SEE IN THE WORLD! All too often, we make it more difficult than it really has to be... because as we grow older, we are always fighting with ourselves by "refusing to change" or trying to hold on too tightly to the things of our youth or our past... to the actions, thought patterns and things that actually no longer serve us, help us or help heal us. Again, it's simple... JUST LET GO!
Life is all about loving, learning, understanding, changing, growing and forgiving... and it's a NEVER ending process!
